Biography of Saleh Gabriel Zock

Saleh Gabriel Zock is a Nigerian politician from Kaduna State and a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He represents the Kachia/Kagarko Federal Constituency of Kaduna State in the House of Representatives. Born on 23 October 1986, he has built his political career around grassroots representation and public service.

Zock's educational background includes a First School Leaving Certificate, Senior Secondary School Certificate and a Bachelor of Science degree. His early involvement in public and political affairs helped establish his presence within Kaduna State politics, particularly in Kachia and Kagarko.

His political career includes an earlier attempt to represent Kachia/Kagarko in the House of Representatives. He was listed by the Independent National Electoral Commission as the APC candidate for the constituency in the 2019 general election and was subsequently elected to the House of Representatives on the APC platform.

Following the 2023 general election, the Kachia/Kagarko election went through a legal process, with the Court of Appeal ordering a fresh election after declaring the earlier result inconclusive. In the June 2024 rerun election, Saleh Gabriel Zock won the constituency with 42,461 votes and was returned to the House of Representatives.

As a member of the 10th National Assembly, Zock has participated in legislative activities covering issues affecting his constituency and the wider country. His legislative interests have included education, agriculture, healthcare and government administration, while he has also raised concerns about security challenges affecting communities in Kachia and Kaduna State.

Beyond legislative duties, Zock has been involved in constituency empowerment programmes. In 2024, he supported a business-grant programme for women and young people in his constituency, with the initiative providing financial assistance intended to help beneficiaries establish or expand small businesses.

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Saleh Gabriel Zock remains the APC candidate for the Kachia/Kagarko Federal Constituency. His political career combines legislative representation with grassroots engagement and constituency development, particularly in areas relating to economic empowerment, education, infrastructure and community welfare.
