Hon. Patrick Umoh is a Nigerian politician and legislator from Akwa Ibom State. Born on 9 April 1982, he has built his political career through grassroots administration, legislative support and federal representation.
Patrick Umoh holds a PhD and has experience in local government administration and public service. Between 2012 and 2016, he served as the Council Secretary of Obot Akara Local Government Area, where he was involved in the administration of the local council and grassroots affairs.
Between 2018 and 2019, Umoh served as a Senior Legislative Aide to Senator Godswill Akpabio, who was then the Senate Minority Leader. He also served as a Special Assistant to the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, gaining further experience in government administration and public policy.
In the 2023 general election, Patrick Umoh contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and was elected to the House of Representatives to represent the Ikot Ekpene/Essien Udim/Obot Akara Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State. He is a member of the 10th National Assembly.
As a federal legislator, Umoh has participated actively in legislative proceedings and constituency representation. He has served as Chairman of the House Committee on Monitoring, Evaluation and Implementation of the Legislative Agenda, a committee responsible for monitoring the implementation and performance of the House's legislative priorities.
His legislative activities have included attention to issues affecting his constituency, including agriculture, infrastructure, education, youth development and community welfare. He has also been involved in constituency interventions aimed at improving opportunities and supporting residents of Ikot Ekpene, Essien Udim and Obot Akara.
With a background spanning local government administration, legislative support and federal lawmaking, Hon. Patrick Umoh has established himself as a political figure in Akwa Ibom State and continues to represent the Ikot Ekpene/Essien Udim/Obot Akara Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.
