Barr. Jude Amiditor Rex-Ogbuku is a Nigerian lawyer, politician and public figure from Bayelsa State. He is the son of the late Chief (Hon.) Engr. Iwolisi Daniel Rex-Ogbuku, a prominent political and community leader who served as a commissioner in the old Rivers State and later as Chairman of Ogbia Local Government Area.
Rex-Ogbuku is a legal practitioner and is associated with Rex-Ogbuku & Associates, a law firm based in Nigeria. His professional interests include legal practice and public affairs. He has also contributed to legal scholarship, including research on land acquisition and the Nigerian legal framework.
He first contested for federal legislative office in the 2019 House of Representatives election, where he represented the Ogbia Federal Constituency under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). He secured 9,805 votes, finishing behind the candidate who won the election.
Rex-Ogbuku later remained active in politics and sought to represent his people at the federal level. In 2023, he contested the Bayelsa East Senatorial District primary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), where he was one of the aspirants seeking the party's nomination.
His career combines legal practice, political participation and public engagement. His family background has also connected him with longstanding political and community activities in Ogbia and the wider Bayelsa region.
Rex-Ogbuku continues to be associated with political and public affairs in Bayelsa State, particularly around Ogbia and the Bayelsa East political constituency.
