Hon. Inemesit Clement Jimbo is a Nigerian politician, quantity surveyor and legislator from Abak Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. Born on 12 March 1983, he is popularly associated with the description “Youth Slot,” reflecting his focus on youth participation and empowerment.
Jimbo studied Quantity Surveying at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. He is also a chartered quantity surveyor and a member of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors. Before entering elective politics, he was involved in professional consultancy and youth advocacy.
His political career led him to the National Assembly, where he was elected in 2023 on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to represent the Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State in the House of Representatives. He is a member of the 10th National Assembly.
As a legislator, Jimbo has focused on issues affecting his constituents, particularly youth and women development, infrastructure and economic empowerment. His constituency interventions have included skills-acquisition programmes and the distribution of working tools and equipment to support beneficiaries in becoming economically productive.
He has also advocated for development initiatives that can improve opportunities for young people and strengthen economic activity within his constituency. His professional background in quantity surveying provides him with technical experience relevant to infrastructure and development projects.
