Hon. Haruna Paul Gowon is a Nigerian politician, businessman and federal lawmaker from Kogi State. Born on 1 October 1970, he represents the Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree and has combined his professional, business and political activities with community development.

Before entering the National Assembly, Gowon was involved in business and community-oriented activities in Kogi State. He is associated with businesses spanning areas such as construction, hospitality and petroleum, and has also been described as an employer of labour. His involvement in private enterprise and philanthropy contributed to his growing profile within his local community.

Gowon first entered elective politics at the state level. He served as a member of the Kogi State House of Assembly from 2012 to 2016, representing his constituency and gaining legislative experience before moving to the federal level.
