Biography of Fidelix Joseph Bagudu

Fidelix Joseph Bagudu is a Nigerian politician from Kaduna State and a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He represents the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. Born in 1987, he has become involved in grassroots politics and community development within Kaduna State.

Bagudu's educational qualification includes the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) certificate. He developed his political profile through grassroots engagement and community activities, particularly within Chikun and Kajuru Local Government Areas.

Before entering the National Assembly, Bagudu was involved in community-oriented initiatives across his constituency. His supporters have associated him with interventions involving educational assistance, youth and women empowerment, support for persons with disabilities, boreholes and solar streetlights.

The Chikun/Kajuru federal seat became vacant following the death of Hon. Ekene Abubakar Adams in 2025. Bagudu subsequently emerged as the APC candidate for the August 2025 by-election. He won the election with 34,580 votes and was elected to represent the constituency in the House of Representatives.

Following his victory, Bagudu was inaugurated as a member of the 10th National Assembly in October 2025. In the House, he assumed responsibility for representing the interests of constituents from both Chikun and Kajuru and participating in legislative proceedings.

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Bagudu participated in the APC primary for the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency. In May 2026, he secured the APC ticket with 1,580 votes, making him the party's candidate for the constituency in the 2027 election.

Fidelix Joseph Bagudu's political career has combined grassroots mobilisation, community development and legislative representation. His work and political activities have remained closely connected to the people of Chikun and Kajuru, with particular attention to education, empowerment, infrastructure and community welfare.
