Biography of Hon. Felix Osazee Igbinovia

Hon. Felix Osazee Igbinovia, popularly known as “Sazy,” is a Nigerian businessman, politician and community figure from Edo State. He is associated with Benin City and the Egor/Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituency. In 2026, he emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the constituency ahead of the 2027 House of Representatives election.

Igbinovia has an academic background in Accounting. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Benin and later pursued a Master’s degree in Public Administration at the same institution. He also completed the National Youth Service Corps programme with Addax Petroleum Development Nigeria Limited.

Before entering politics, Igbinovia developed a career in the oil and gas sector. He initially worked as an accountant with the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission before moving into the petroleum business. He later became involved in petroleum retailing and marketing, gaining experience in downstream oil and gas operations.

Igbinovia is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Sazy Oil & Gas Limited and Sazy Logistics Limited. His business activities have included petroleum products marketing, logistics and related services. His involvement in the private sector has also been connected with employment and community-oriented initiatives.

Beyond business, Igbinovia has been involved in philanthropic and community activities, with interests including education, healthcare and empowerment programmes. He has also participated in community and political activities within Edo State.

His involvement in public affairs expanded through his service as a member of the Edo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (EDSOPADEC), where he gained experience in community-based development and resource management. In April 2026, he formally entered the race to represent Egor/Ikpoba-Okha in the House of Representatives.

In May 2026, Igbinovia emerged as the APC candidate for the Egor/Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituency after the party's primary election in Edo State. His candidacy marks his transition from private-sector and community activities into a direct contest for federal legislative representation.
