Ogun | House of representatives
Hon. Rasak Oluwakemi Daddah is a Nigerian politician, businessman and community leader from Ogun State. He is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the party's candidate for the Ijebu-Ode/Odogbolu/Ijebu North-East Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election. His career has included local government administration, state government service, party politics and private-sector business.
Daddah is from Ijebu-Ode and has developed strong political and community ties across the Ijebu Central area. He completed his secondary education at Ajumoni Secondary School in Mushin, Lagos, before proceeding to Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, for higher education. His professional background also includes substantial experience in business and entrepreneurship.
Before his current federal political ambition, Daddah served as the Executive Chairman of Ijebu-Ode Local Government. During his tenure, he was involved in local government administration and community development, with attention to infrastructure and grassroots engagement. The position gave him direct experience working with residents, traditional institutions, community groups and local government structures.
He later served in the Ogun State Government as Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs. In that capacity, he was involved with matters concerning local government administration and traditional institutions across the state. He was also appointed Chairman of the Ogun State Board of Market Development, adding another area of public-sector administrative experience to his career.
Alongside his public service, Daddah has developed a private-sector career in business. He is associated with Sheriff Investment Limited, where he has served as Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director. His business interests have reportedly covered areas including construction, textiles, oil and gas, commodities and logistics. He has therefore combined entrepreneurship with his activities in government and politics.
Daddah has also remained active in community and religious affairs in Ijebuland. He holds the traditional Islamic title of Otun Giwa Adinni of the Ijebu-Ode Central Mosque, reflecting his involvement in the Muslim community and local social activities. His political activities have also included consultations with traditional rulers, party leaders, community stakeholders and former political aspirants across Ijebu-Ode, Odogbolu and Ijebu North-East.
In 2026, Daddah emerged as the APC candidate for the Ijebu Central Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general election. Since securing the nomination, he has continued consultations with stakeholders across the three local government areas. His stated areas of interest include infrastructure, education, healthcare, youth development and economic opportunities.
Rasak Oluwakemi Daddah's career therefore combines local government administration, state government service, entrepreneurship, community leadership and partisan politics. His 2027 candidacy represents his move from local and state-level public service toward federal legislative representation for the people of Ijebu-Ode, Odogbolu and Ijebu North-East.
