Jigawa State | Senator
Ahmed Abdulhamid Malam-Madori (born March 3, 1966) is a Nigerian politician and diplomat, currently serving as the Senator representing Jigawa North-East in the 10th National Assembly under the APC.
He began his public career as a member of the House of Representatives in 1992 and later held executive positions, including Federal Commissioner at the Federal Character Commission and Minister of State for Power and Steel during President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration. He also served as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Turkey from 2008.
Elected to the Senate in 2023, Malam-Madori chairs the Senate Committee on Police Affairs, overseeing the Nigeria Police Force and Police Trust Fund. He is noted for extensive constituency projects, legislative advocacy—including a bill for the creation of Hadejia State—and strong grassroots engagement.
