About Hon. Patrick Ndubueze

Patrick Chiwuba Ndubueze (born 1963) is a Nigerian civil engineer and politician representing Imo North (Okigwe Zone) in the 10th Senate. He hails from Umualumoke, Okigwe LGA, Imo State, and holds an HND, is COREN-registered, and a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE).

He began his political career in 1992 as a member of the House of Representatives at age 29 and later built a long private-sector career as Chairman/Managing Director of NEIC Nig. Ltd, a road construction firm. Elected to the Senate in 2023 on the APC platform, he currently chairs the Senate Committee on Works and previously led the Committee on Steel Development. He also briefly contested for Senate President in 2023.

In legislation, he sponsored the Federal University, Okigwe bill, which passed its third reading in March 2025, and is known for strong advocacy on infrastructure reforms and improved legislative processes.
