Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole (born April 4, 1952) is a Nigerian politician, former labor leader, and current Senator representing Edo North in the 10th National Assembly.
He studied Industrial Relations at Ruskin College, Oxford, and later earned the MNI title from the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS). Oshiomhole rose to national prominence as President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (1999–2007), where he led major labor actions and negotiations on wages and fuel pricing.
He served two terms as Governor of Edo State from 2008 to 2016, noted for urban renewal and infrastructure development. From 2018 to 2020, he was National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Elected senator in 2023, he currently chairs the Senate Committee on Interior and was endorsed for a second term by the Edo North APC in 2025.
Born Muslim and later converted to Catholicism, he is known for his distinctive khaki attire, reflecting his labor movement roots.
