About Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang


Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has been the Governor of Plateau State since May 29, 2023. Born on March 12, 1965, he is a lawyer by profession and an alumnus of the University of Jos and the Nigerian Law School. Before becoming governor, he served as Chairman of Mangu Local Government Area and practiced law, gaining strong grassroots and administrative experience.

Elected in the 2023 governorship election, Governor Mutfwang leads the state with a development vision focused on peace, inclusive governance, infrastructure development, economic revitalization, and security. His administration emphasizes reconciliation, transparency, youth empowerment, and community engagement to address Plateau State’s long-standing challenges.

He is married to Helen Mutfwang and they have three children.
