Rt. Hon. Alex Egbona (PhD, born October 15, 1964) is a Nigerian politician representing Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency in Cross River State in the House of Representatives under the APC. He is serving his second term (2019–2027) and chairs the House Committee on Specialty Healthcare, having previously been Vice Chairman of Petroleum Resources (Downstream).
Egbona’s political career began at the local government level, and he later served in senior administrative roles in Cross River State, including Chief of Staff to Governor Liyel Imoke. He holds a B.Sc. in Economics, an MPA in Educational Planning, and a PhD in Educational Administration and Planning. He has implemented constituency projects in water, electricity, and education, and holds traditional titles such as Obol Nkama 2 of Ugep and Eval Nkami of Agbo.
