Hon. Philip Agbese is a Nigerian lawmaker, lawyer, and human rights advocate serving as the Deputy Spokesperson of the 10th House of Representatives, representing Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu Federal Constituency of Benue State.
Born in 1987, he holds degrees in Biochemistry, Law, Human Rights, and Business Administration, and trained in journalism in the UK. Before politics, he worked in human rights advocacy, media, and law, founding Global Amnesty Watch and the Nigerian News Group, and authoring books on governance.
Elected to the House of Representatives in 2023 under the APC, he also chairs the Nigeria–Finland Parliamentary Friendship Group and is a member of the Pan-African Parliament. He holds the traditional title Okanga-1 K’Agila and is related to late journalist Dan Agbese.
