About Balele Aminu (Hon.)

Hon. Balele Aminu is a Nigerian politician from Katsina State and a member of the Federal House of Representatives. He represents the Dutsin-Ma/Kurfi Federal Constituency in the National Assembly under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He became a member of the 10th National Assembly after winning the constituency in the 2023 general elections.

Balele Aminu has an academic background in economics. He obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Economics from Bayero University, Kano, completing the programme in 1990. His educational background has complemented his subsequent experience in public affairs, politics and administration.

Before his election to the National Assembly, Balele Aminu served in government and political roles in Katsina State and at the federal level. He served as Senior Special Assistant on Sports to the Governor of Katsina State, where he was involved in matters relating to sports development and youth engagement. He also previously served as a Special Assistant on Political Affairs and Special Assistant on Special Duties to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.

Balele later ventured into business and served in executive positions in private companies, including Shugaba Resources Nigeria Limited and Rams Global Resources Limited. His experience across government, politics and the private sector contributed to his profile before entering the National Assembly.

In the 2023 general elections, Balele Aminu was elected to represent the Dutsin-Ma/Kurfi Federal Constituency, covering Dutsin-Ma and Kurfi Local Government Areas of Katsina State. Following his election, he became a member of the 10th House of Representatives and took part in legislative proceedings and constituency representation.

Within the House of Representatives, Balele Aminu has served as Chairman of the House Committee on Housing and Habitat, giving him responsibilities relating to parliamentary oversight of housing and habitat matters. His legislative duties also include participating in debates, committee work and other activities of the National Assembly.

Balele Aminu's career therefore combines experience in government administration, political affairs, private business and federal legislation. Through his representation of Dutsin-Ma/Kurfi, he continues to participate in national legislative activities while representing the interests of his constituents in Katsina State.
