Biography of Amos Daniel

Amos Daniel is a Nigerian politician and member of the House of Representatives from Kaduna State. He represents the Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency and is currently a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He was born on 17 July 1970 and has been involved in political and community affairs, particularly within Southern Kaduna.

Daniel's educational qualification includes the Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE). His political career has been closely connected with grassroots engagement, where he has built relationships with community leaders and residents across Jema’a and Sanga Local Government Areas.

He contested the Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency seat in the 2023 general election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He won the election and became a member of the 10th National Assembly, succeeding the previous representative of the constituency.

As a federal lawmaker, Daniel has participated in legislative proceedings and committee activities in the House of Representatives. His responsibilities include representing the interests of constituents, contributing to debates and supporting legislative measures relating to national and constituency development.

In October 2025, Daniel defected from the PDP to the APC. He explained that the decision followed consultations with political and community stakeholders across his constituency. His move made him part of the group of Kaduna lawmakers who moved from opposition parties to the APC during the 10th Assembly.

Daniel has also been involved in constituency-focused empowerment initiatives. In 2025, he supported an empowerment programme for constituents involving financial assistance and other forms of support intended to improve livelihoods and economic opportunities among residents of Jema’a and Sanga.

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Amos Daniel secured the APC ticket to contest the Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency seat. His political career combines legislative representation with grassroots engagement and constituency development, with his public activities focused on representing the interests of communities across Jema’a and Sanga.
