Biography of Hon. Aliyu Wakili Boya

Hon. Barr. Aliyu Wakili Boya is a Nigerian lawyer, politician and legislator from Adamawa State. He was born in Malabu, Fufore Local Government Area of Adamawa State, and has built his career through legal practice, public administration and political leadership.

Boya studied Law at the University of Maiduguri and subsequently completed his professional legal training, qualifying as a Barrister. His legal background has remained an important part of his public career and political activities.

Before becoming a federal legislator, Boya worked in political and public-service roles. He served as a personal assistant to Senator Bello Tukur between 2011 and 2014 and later worked with the administration of former Adamawa State Governor Bindow Jibrilla. He subsequently became Executive Chairman of Fufore Local Government and also served as Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Adamawa State.

In the 2023 general election, Boya contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and was elected to represent the Fufore/Song Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. He is a member of the 10th National Assembly and serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Police Institutions.

As a legislator, Boya has been associated with initiatives concerning education, infrastructure, security and community development within his constituency. He has also supported empowerment programmes and other interventions aimed at improving the welfare of residents of Fufore and Song.

Boya also holds the traditional title of Sarkin Matasa Adamawa, reflecting his involvement in youth affairs in the state. In 2026, he continued his political activities within the APC and began preparations for another electoral contest ahead of the 2027 general election.

With experience spanning law, local government administration and federal legislation, Hon. Aliyu Wakili Boya has established himself as one of the prominent political figures representing Adamawa State at the national level.
